I am on some kind of expedition in semi-snowy terrain with a woman who I know from work. She has a sled and it's being pulled by a poor dog who looks like he could pass out any minute. She & her sled are just way too heavy for him and I tell her that. She does not listen to me.
NO FURNITURE
I have to go back to school for a semester for some unknown reason. When I arrive, I am sharing a room with three other women and I am the only one without furniture. I have nothing - no bed, no desk, no drawers for my clothes. I have forgotten my Ikea coupons at home and I am pissed. I can't figure out why I am back at school, I have already graduated. I find a baby hamster running around and I try to catch it.
SMALL PACKETS
I receive a slew of 3 x 5" packets in the mail, all in familiar handwriting. Each contains several flash cards wrapped in white butcher paper. They are from my friend "M" and I read them all, he has written notes on each flash card that fill each one up entirely. I read on and on, I have to read through a couple of stacks before I get to the real meaning of what he was trying to tell me. He is far away and he is quite unhappy. Why his writings are so obscure confuses me. I don't know why it took him 50 - 100 flash cards to tell me this!
EARTHQUAKE
I dreamt there were two very big earthquakes, everyone around me was really scared & panicking. I am inside. The first was violent shaking and seemed to last forever, over a minute (a long time if you've ever felt a real earthquake) Then someone said "OK, now we wait and see if that was just the beginning" - the next one was not as bad, it was not a complete disaster. I wake up after the second quake in a cold sweat.
NAIL POLISH
In this dream my thumb and fingernails are twice their normal size. My mother is there with me. I am getting a manicure, and the man keeps painting on different colors. My mother keeps saying "No, that doesn't look right", over & over again we try every shade. Finally I point out a bottle of silver polish and this color seems to finally satisfy her.
GRAFITTI
In this dream, one of my ex-boyfriends comes over to my house (which I share with my fiance) and for some reason feels the need to use a grey marker and leave random graffiti all over the walls in odd places. It's hard for me to find, but after he has gone I whip out some soft scrub and go around the house trying to scrub it off the walls. Every time I think I have erased it all, I find more. Some parts I have to paint over. This dream seems endless. Also in the beginning of the dream I meet his girlfriend, who shakes my hand so hard that I punch her.
GRAFITTI Part 1
In my initial graffiti dream, there is a small wrinkly baby that gets into my house somehow. He tags all tha walls in black marker. I see the baby doing this, he is dark and very wizened. I watch him, but I do nothing.
MEATBALL
Another weird dream: I am on a large yacht that is going very fast through the water. Beads of spray are misting my face as we go. Suddenly we start to go so fast that I have to hold onto the rail for dear life. For some reason I am also holding a tiny meatball and wearing a white shirt. When the boat finally slows down, I have a red meatball stain on my shirt.
FLOATING CARS
The other night I dreamt that I parked my car in a parking lot, it was raining very hard and my car floated away in the water, hit another car and someone broke into it and stole my stereo. It was a strange dream but not nearly as strange as others I've had in the past.
ROOMS
I dream often of a house that seems never to end. It has really beautiful rooms that branch off from other rooms, each is decorated uniquely and is markedly different than the last. Another dream I've had ever since I was a little girl is that of sand, just smooth sand on a beach. Then the wind blows and scatters the sand into different directions, ruining it's smooth texture.
